ImPol Launching Event. Discussing The impact of migration policies on labour migration management

European Parliament, Brussels

Program | Presentations | Event Review

European Parliament (Room ASP 5G 305)

On Monday 29th May, from 14.30 to 16.30, will take place the launching event of  the Immigration Policies index (ImPol) on migration policies, produced in the framework of the TEMPER Project (Temporary versus Permanent Migration) funded by the European Commission.

ImPol is a migration policies dataset that allows measuring changes in migration policies, with a focus on rules regulating admission, return and circulation, across EU countries and over time since 1990, year by year.

ImPol has being developed using a unique methodology to pay particular attention to labour migration, and differences in the way EU countries regulate admission and residence of migrant workers with different skill levels.

The aim of the event will be to discuss ImPol preliminary results concerning the impact of migration policies on labour migration management, and find avenues for encouraging its use by researchers and policy makers.
